Cluster Stories & Work Stories
What are cluster stories?
They are systematic short stories designed to provide word recognition repetition so that students enhance their recogntion vocabulary. Before the class commences to read a story that is a core part of the curriculum, I find it advisable to provide essential vocabulary beforehand. By salting my own short stories with a word bank composed of items from a target story, I find that students are prepared and able to enjoy the target stories.
